Can we host our wedding at Castle & Key?
Absolutely. Castle & Key is a premier wedding destination in the heart of Kentucky bourbon country. Our historic grounds and beautifully restored venues provide a stunning, one-of-a-kind backdrop for ceremonies and receptions alike.
What venues are available for weddings?
We offer three distinct venues: The Shooking Building for grand indoor receptions up to 300 guests, The Sunken Garden for outdoor ceremonies and cocktail hours up to 150 guests, and The Springhouse for intimate gatherings and rehearsal dinners up to 75 guests.
How many guests can Castle & Key accommodate?
Our largest venue, the Shooking Building, accommodates up to 200 guests and we have smaller spaces for more intimate ceremonies.
Do you provide catering and bar service?
We work with a curated list of preferred caterers who know our venues and can create menus that complement the Castle & Key experience. All events must use the Castle & Key bar.
Can we do a bourbon tasting as part of our wedding weekend?
Yes! We offer private tastings and distillery tours for wedding parties and guests. It's a wonderful way to kick off your wedding weekend or entertain out-of-town guests.
What is the booking process?
Start by filling out our inquiry form. Our events team will reach out within 48 hours to discuss your vision, check availability, and schedule a venue tour. Once you've selected your date and venue, we'll guide you through the contract and planning process.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking 12 to 18 months in advance, especially for peak season dates (April through October). However, we occasionally have availability for shorter timelines, so don't hesitate to inquire.
Are outside vendors allowed?
We welcome outside vendors for photography, florals, entertainment, and other services. For catering and coordination, we require that you choose from our preferred vendor list to ensure the best experience for you and your guests.
Is there lodging nearby for wedding guests?
While we don't offer on-site lodging, we do maintain several local AirBnB options. Read more about lodging here.
