Do you offer distillery tours?
Castle & Key is currently offering The Castle & Key Experience. For more details, please click on "Book Now" at the top left hand corner of our website or click on "Visit" in the dropdown menu. Do you offer tastings?
Guests are able to purchase cocktails and neat pours of Castle & Key spirits from Taylorton Station. Taylorton Station is open Thursday - Saturday from 10:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. No formal sit-down tastings are available at this time.
Is Castle & Key Distillery on the Bourbon Trail?
We are currently part of the Kentucky Distillers' Association and a new member of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Cash, credit cards, and debit cards are accepted for all retail, food, and beverage purchases. Credit and debit cards are accepted for The Castle & Key Experience tickets. Checks will not be accepted in any capacity.
Are there age restrictions to visit Castle & Key Distillery?
All guests are invited to enjoy our public spaces, including the Boiler Room, Botanical Trail, and Springhouse. Due to the historic and unique nature of our property, all guests under the age of 18 must be supervised at all times by a member of their party who is 18 years of age or older. All guests participating in The Castle & Key Experience must be 16 +.
Where may I take my alcoholic beverages?
All beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, may be enjoyed outdoor in the public spaces as well as in the Boiler Room. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the Castle. All alcoholic beverages must be discarded before leaving the property.
May I bring outside food and drink?
Guests may bring a picnic lunch or snacks, with the exclusion of outside beverages. Light snacks and beverages are available for purchase in the Boiler Room and at Taylorton Station. Only outdoor seating is currently available.
Is outside alcohol allowed?
Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted on site. Guests will be required to dispose of outside alcoholic beverages before entering the property.
Are pets allowed?
Only service animals are allowed at Castle & Key Distillery.
Is Castle & Key Distillery accessible?
Castle & Key Distillery is located on historic grounds that date back to the late 1800s. Due to the nature of our grounds and facilities, guests with limited mobility may face challenges traversing portions of our property. For more details, please call our Hospitality Team at 502.395.9070.
Is smoking or vaping allowed?
Smoking and vaping are allowed in designated areas only. These areas include the Guest Parking Lot and near Glenns Creek. Please contact a member of our Hospitality Team for further details.
Are concealed weapons allowed?
Because Castle & Key Distillery is a private property, we respectfully ask you to leave all weapons and firearms in your locked vehicle before entering the property.
How may I schedule a photography session at Castle & Key Distillery?
All photography sessions are by appointment only and will be scheduled during non-operating hours. Guests and photographers are required to sign a photography agreement and pay the fees associated prior to their session. Please contact experience@castleandkey.com for more information, including availability and pricing.
How may I schedule a private event or wedding at Castle & Key Distillery?

Do you offer distillery tours?

Do you allow bookings for large groups?
For groups larger than 12 guests, please contact experience@castleandkey.com for more information and to book your experience.
Is there an age restriction to participate in a guided experience (distillery tour)?
All guests participating in our guided experiences must be 16 +. No guests under the age of 16, including infants and children, will be allowed on our guided experiences.
What if I do not have a government-issued form of photo ID for my experience?
Guests are required to present a valid photo ID in order to participate in a guided experience. If a valid ID is forgotten, guests will be unable to participate.
Will experiences take place in inclement weather?
Experiences will continue to operate in light rain. Experiences will be delayed or canceled in the event of heavy rain, strong wind, lightning, or an outside wind chill temperature of 25 degrees or below. Guests are encouraged to dress appropriately according to the weather. Our Hospitality Team will contact you regarding your booking in the event of cancellation to assist in making appropriate accommodations.

Where can I purchase Castle & Key spirits?
A comprehensive list of all bars, restaurants, and retailers carrying our product can be found on the Spirits page of our website under the Spirit Locator. We recommend contacting locations ahead to ensure our product is in stock.
What states are you currently distributing in and what is the future distribution plan?
We are currently distributing Castle & Key spirits in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin, and plan to expand our market as our production allows. For all wholesale or retail inquiries, please contact our Director of Sales, Jon Newton, at jonnewton@castleandkey.com.
Can I order Castle & Key spirits online?
Shipping of Castle & Key spirits is now available for a handful of markets and military bases. Markets include Alaska, Kentucky, Nebraska (starting May 1st), New Hampshire, North Dakota, and Washington D.C.

Taylorton Station

What is Taylorton Station (Counter 17)?
Taylorton Station was historically a train depot. Today, it is home to the Taylorton Station Bar serving cocktails and neat pours of Castle & Key spirits.

Are there non-alcoholic beverages available at Taylorton Station?
Water and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at Taylorton Station.
Do I have to participate in a guided experience to enjoy Taylorton Station?
Taylorton Station is included in our public spaces and is open to all guests to enjoy during our operating hours. A valid photo ID is required for purchases of alcoholic beverages.
